Lucia Nimcová, as a photographer inclines to documentary work. Her pictures are traditionally subjects to post production by drawing, writing-in, colorising or by using expired material and enriching by excerpts from poems or songs. Sometimes she takes pictures of TV screen or creates conceptual series. In one of her concept series - Ženy (Women) (2001-2003), she captured women in a private environment of their homes where they (as Nimcová says) currently live by their problem, trying to solve and uncover it to an extent they see fit. In her collection Slovensko 003, developed in 2003 based on a governmental grant, she focused on a contemporary, city woman based in broad scale of worlds and lifestyles. She photographed women by washing machines, cradles, laptops or while shopping, watching TV, exercising or reading a magazine.
